Image & Form, the developement company behind the SteamWorld Series (comprising of Dig, Heist and Tower Defence) have announced today that their newest addition, Steamworld Dig 2, will be releasing on the Nintendo 3DS on Thursday 22nd February.

The original Steamworld Dig was a 3DS exclusive back in August 2013 so it seems fitting that the sequel should grace Nintendo's 3D handheld, though it has managed it sometime after the game's release for the Nintendo Switch, which received the title in September of last year. The company has stated that it will run at 60fps, regardless on whether the 3D is enabled.

Image & form have been busy recently, with just having released the original SteamWorld Dig for the Nintendo Switch to accompany its sequel, which is also receiving a physical release in the Spring of this year. Will you be up picking SteamWord Dig 2 on the 3DS? pop by online and let us know!
